Arrive a Derci
Rule Number 12 in the Q Dimension: The Ring will not save Gondor. It only has the power to destroy.
Roger arrived at the Dark and Mysterious Hideout sweaty and out of breath, once again wishing that the first car coming towards him at the spaceport had not been a pedal-car being driven by a three year old. Cautiously parallel-parking in a 10 minute park, he unfolded himself from the small plastic automobile and lay down on the footpath to catch his breath.
11 minutes later he looked up in time to see his pedal-car being towed away.
“Dang it!” he muttered to himself, “And I left my wallet in the glove box too!”
There was only one thing to do.
He turned and entered the Dark and Mysterious Hideout, hoping that Ernie would have a phone he could borrow to call the bank and cancel his cards.

The Dark and Mysterious Truck arrived at the apartment on the intersection of Roller Skate Street and Rocking Chair Road, and Harold, the minions, and the Ryan Seacrest formerly known as ROGER all piled out (which is to say, they leapt from the truck so quickly that they formed a pile in the road).
Once they had untangled themselves, they stood and cast a perplexed look towards the apartment (before reeling it back in, but snagging it on a submerged log in the process. Harold then sent Percy out to untangle the line, which he did but not without once again complaining about Larry’s preferential treatment, and how he would have worn gumboots if he’d known they were going fishing).
It took Randy to ask the obvious question: “Why would you build an apartment on an intersection anyway, dude?”
It was true that the positioning of the apartment was not its most well designed feature, as it effectively blocked the intersection altogether. Queues of cars spread out in every direction (except apparently the one direction that the Dark and Mysterious Truck had approached from) and were getting relatively impatient now, as the apartment had opened over five years earlier, and the intersection still wasn’t cleared, and their bosses must be wondering what happened to them by now…
Harold ignored Randy (as many fans of American Idol have taken to doing) and instead directed a statement at Percy and Dark and Mysterious Driver: “You two, bring Ryan Seacrest and follow me.”
Percy and Dark and Mysterious Driver started to obey, but then changed their minds. This was not, as may have been assumed, because the preferential treatment being shown towards Larry was getting so great that they could not take it anymore, but rather because the next devolution had suddenly taken place, and the Ryan Seacrest formerly known as ROGER had now become a 50 foot tall statue of an Anthropomorphised Cartoon Cheese known as Stinky formerly known as Ryan Seacrest formerly known as ROGER, making him considerably less transportable.
“Whoa, dude!” Randy exclaimed unnecessarily.
Everyone ignored him, too focussed on the devolution results, so he tried again.
“Stinky is in-it-to-win-it! Yeah, baby!”
There was still no response.
“That was the performance of the night! Bring it, dawg!!”
Randy waited a moment more, but there was still no applause from the audience. It unsettled him.
“I don’t have to put up with this,” he muttered to himself, and removing his mask he threw it to the ground in disgust and stormed off to find a more appreciative audience, or possibly Simon Cowell.
The other minions focussed their attention on Harold, as if to say “Now what?”
Harold didn’t have an answer, but the expression on his face read: “I’m not sure what to do, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out by the next chapter.”
